「背景補完計画」について
従来のアニメ制作工程の都合により、セル画と対応する背景がセットのまま保存されることは非常に稀であり、これはセル画本来の視覚的な魅力を大きく損なう要因となっています。
私たちがセル画をコレクションする理由は、記憶に残る“あの瞬間”を手元に留めておきたいからです。しかし、その瞬間に背景が欠けていては、完全とは言えません。
こうした想いから、私たちは Onlybacks を立ち上げ、失われた背景を補完するプロジェクトを開始しました。
2025年末より ヤフオク！ にて背景画の出品を開始し、多くの反響をいただくとともに、日本・中国・アメリカをはじめとする各国のお客様からご注文をいただきました。世界中のセル画愛好家の皆さまに「補完」という形でサービスをご提供できていることを、大変嬉しく思っております。
今後、より安定した運営と発信のために、自社ウェブサイトの開設および Instagram、RedNote の運用を開始いたしました。

「複製背景の価値」について
私たちは、精度の高い“合致した複製背景”には、セル画の展示価値を高める装飾的な意義があると考えています。
実際に、私たちが制作した背景は Heritage Auctions に認定され、アメリカ最大級のアニメ関連オークションに出品されました。これは、私たちの取り組みの方向性が一定の評価を得た結果だと受け止めています。
こうした背景から、ヤフオクでの出品を終了し、自社サイトにて定額販売へと移行いたしました。
制作コストおよび各種手数料を差し引いたうえで、可能な限り手に取りやすい価格で提供することを目指しています。
本プロジェクトは、短期的な利益ではなく、長期的な価値の創出を重視しています。
「制作工程」について
私たちは、デジタル技術と伝統的な手描き技法を組み合わせることで、それぞれのセル画に最も適した背景制作を行っています。
また、手描き背景と同様の水彩紙を使用した高精度印刷により、色彩と質感の再現を追求しています。
基本的な制作工程は以下の通りです：
- 自社開発のAIモデルを用いて人物を除去し、背景を補完
- 同じくAIモデルにより背景領域を拡張
- フィルム撮影による色味や後処理の影響を除去し、手描き原稿に近い色へ調整
- 伝統的な手描き技法で輪郭や筆致を再構築
- 手描き背景と同種の水彩紙に高精度印刷
さらに、現存する手描き背景に対しても、汚れの除去や、絵具の付着による欠損部分の補修など、修復作業を行うことがあります。

Onlybacksチームには、AIエンジニア、元アニメ背景美術スタッフ、伝統的な水彩画家、ゲーム開発者、そして顧客からパートナーとなった海外メンバーが在籍しています。

關於「背景補完計畫」
因為舊動畫製作流程的關係，賽璐璐片與其對應的背景很少被一同保留下來，這大大影響了賽璐璐畫的視覺效果。畢竟我們收藏賽璐璐，是為了留住記憶中的某一個瞬間，而這個瞬間又怎麼能少了背景呢？
基於這個原因，我們成立了 Onlybacks，決定補完那些缺失的背景畫。我們於2025年年底開始在雅虎日拍陸續上架背景畫，並取得了良好的反響，也收到了來自日本、中國、美國的訂單。我們非常開心能夠為世界各地的賽璐璐愛好者提供「補完」服務。
為了更好地營運與推廣這個專案，我們決定建立自己的網站，並開始經營 Instagram 帳號與小紅書帳號，提供日語、英語、中文服務。如果你有任何客製需求或建議，歡迎透過這些平台隨時私訊（DM）我們～
關於「複製背景的價值」
我們認為，製作精良且高度合致的複製背景，絕對具備提升賽璐璐展示效果的裝飾價值。令人開心的是，我們製作的背景已通過 Heritage Auctions 的認證，並登上全美最大的動漫主題大型拍賣，這也驗證了我們的理念。
這同時也是我們退出雅虎日拍，轉而建立自有網站並以固定價格銷售的原因。我們會在扣除製作成本及相關手續費後，以儘可能低的價格進行販售，因為我們堅信這是一個具有長期價值與意義的項目。
關於「製作流程」
我們致力於結合電腦技術與傳統手繪工藝，為每一幅賽璐璐製作合致背景，並採用與手繪背景相同規格的水彩紙進行高精度印刷，以還原最真實的色彩與手繪質感。
常規製作流程大致如下：
- 使用自研 AI 模型去除人物並補完背景
- 使用自研 AI 模型擴展額外的背景內容（約增加一半畫面）
- 將背景色調調整至接近手繪原稿（去除膠片拍攝濾鏡與後期調色影響）
- 以傳統手繪方式重新繪製邊緣筆觸
- 採用與原手繪背景相同的水彩紙進行高精度印刷
此外，我們也會對部分仍然留存的手繪原背景進行修復，例如去除污漬、修補因顏料沾黏而造成的缺損等。
關於「我們」
我們是一群賽璐璐與原畫的愛好者與收藏者。Onlybacks 團隊由人工智慧工程師、前動畫背景美術、傳統水彩藝術家、遊戲開發人員，以及新加入、由客戶轉變為夥伴的海外代理組成。
雖然成員背景各異、喜好的作品也不盡相同，但我們對動漫與收藏擁有同樣的熱情，並對運用新技術「復活」傳統繪畫懷抱著共同的憧憬。

About the “Onlybacks Project”
Due to the nature of traditional animation production, original cels and their corresponding background paintings were rarely preserved together. This significantly affects the visual presentation of cel artwork. After all, when we collect cels, we are trying to preserve a specific moment in time — and that moment feels incomplete without its background.
For this reason, we founded Onlybacks, with the goal of restoring and completing those missing backgrounds.
Starting in late 2025, we began listing background works on Yahoo Japan Auctions and received an overwhelmingly positive response, along with orders from Japan, China, and the United States. We are truly happy to provide this “completion” service to cel collectors around the world.
To further develop and promote this project, we have decided to build our own website and expand our presence on Instagram and Rednote, offering services in Japanese, English, and Chinese. If you have any custom requests or suggestions, feel free to reach out to us via DM on these platforms.
On the Value of Recreated Backgrounds
We believe that well-crafted, accurately matched reproduction backgrounds greatly enhance the display value of cel artwork.
We are proud that our backgrounds have been recognized by Heritage Auctions and have appeared in one of the largest anime-focused auctions in the United States. This recognition validates our vision.
It is also the reason we decided to move away from Yahoo Japan Auctions and instead build our own platform with fixed pricing. After covering production and transaction costs, we aim to offer our works at the most accessible prices possible, because we truly believe this is a meaningful long-term project.
Production Process
We combine modern digital technology with traditional hand-drawing techniques to create highly accurate background matches for each cel. We also use watercolor paper similar to that used in original background paintings, ensuring the most authentic color and texture reproduction possible.
Our standard workflow includes:
- Using proprietary AI models to remove characters and reconstruct missing background areas
- Expanding the background composition using AI to create a more complete scene
- Adjusting colors to match original hand-painted backgrounds (removing film filters and post-processing effects)
- Reintroducing edge brushwork manually using traditional painting techniques
- Printing on high-quality watercolor paper for a faithful finish
In addition, for surviving original hand-painted backgrounds, we also offer restoration services such as stain removal and repairing areas damaged by paint adhesion.

We are a team of cel and original artwork enthusiasts and collectors.
The Onlybacks team includes AI engineers, former anime background artists, traditional watercolor painters, game developers, and overseas partners who were once collectors themselves. While we come from different professional backgrounds and have diverse tastes in works, we share the same passion for anime and collecting — and the same vision of using new technology to “revive” traditional art.
